Acton Technologies' proprietary, sodium-based etching solution, FluoroEtch® Safety Solvent, is used for the treatment of fluoropolymers in preparation for bonding. It is used by many of the world's largest and most technically advanced companies, government institutions, leading universities, and research foundations as well as most major defense contractors in the United States also rely on the superior qualities of our etching solvent. FluoroEtch® meets ASTM and mil-spec standards..
A new alternative for engineers and designers seeking lightweight high-performance solutions to problems often associated with skived film. At less than half the weight and more than twice the dielectric strength of skived film, calendered fluoropolymer film is an exceptional and cost efficient answer to countless applications. Judge for yourself, calendered fluoropolymer film well surpasses the performance limitations of skived PTFE film.
ACTON Technologies offers an array fluoropolymer technologies and superior customer service. Our unmatched expertise and willingness to provide custom solutions has made us a leading provider of the highest quality fluoropolymer films, tapes and sheets from our own inventory and from our wide base of suppliers across the USA. ACTON offers skived PTFE, cast PTFE and melt extruded PFA, FEP, and ETFE films for use in industries that include composite molding, chemical processing, heat-sealing, welding, electrical, and medical.
A wettable, bondable PTFE whisker used in composites to impart some fluoropolymer characteristics to a host polymer.
Aclon® is the first and only wettable, bondable PTFE whisker available to industry. Added to other polymers in loading amounts as little as 5%, it imparts some of the properties, especially lubricity, to the host polymer.
Each particle of Aclon® actually bonds to the host polymer thus reinforcing it to provide a harder, stronger composite. Aclon enhances the performance in a variety of applications including coatings, lubricant pastes, sealants and thermoplastics and elastomers.
The development of Aclon has led to further research in the surface modification of other forms of fluoropolymer materials. The research and development laboratories at Acton Technologies has succeeded in modifying the surface of extremely small particles of PTFE. For more information, contact Acton Technologies.
For the reduction of toxic mercury vapor, HgX® is an inexpensive, water soluble, non-hazardous, metallic-mercury/sulfide converting powder with a chelating compound and dispersing agent. It reacts rapidly, forming a film over the finely divided, nearly invisible beads of mercury and reacting to produce a non-vaporizing sulfide. Further, HgX® keeps on working. Particles of HgX® left on cleaned surfaces are reactivated during subsequent cleaning.
Acton Technologies’ engineering team provides alternative fluoropolymer processing options, research and development into new technologies and projects, and design interface for customer operated equipment. These full-scale product innovation and development services include strategy, design, engineering, prototyping, and materials research.
